If you’re reading this, then there’s about a 98.9% chance, give or take, that you like Hip Hop, or at least know what it’s about. And maybe you’re a jazz fan, and heard of this man during his time after the Legendary “GANGSTARR”, when he was doing his JAZZMATAZZ albums. Regardless of where you recall the name, it was probably his signature voice, that was undeniable to the ear on track, and left a long-lasting impression with any listener. Keith “Guru” Elam, lost his battle with cancer on April 19, 2010. He will 4ever be missed by fans worldwide, and especially by me. His subject matter and cadences are, were, and will forever be a model for Classic Hip Hop. Songs like “Take it Personal”, “Just to get a Rep”, “Mass Appeal”, “Above the clouds”, are just a few of my favs from the GANGSTARR era. But, this one will always stand out as one of the Best Rap Collabs EVER. GANGSTARR and Nice&Smooth…need I say more.
