Back in April, the artist, SHEPARD FAIREY, who you may know from his work with the clothing line, OBEY, was commissioned to do a mural in L.E.S., NYC (corner of Bowery and Houston St.). The mural turned out really dope to say the least. Check it out!

FIVE POINTZ Part 1

Sometimes I get a little snapshot craze when I’m out, moving thru space. On this day, I had very good reason. I wasn’t on my way anywhere in specific that day, but had planned to go by this place in Long Island City, Queens, called “Five Pointz: The Institute of Higher Burner aka FIVE POINTZ Aerosol Art Center”. The funny thing was that, in a random search on google one day, almost four years ago, I found a picture of this place that was totally covered in Graffiti. Ironically, it was a picture of FIve Pointz some years earlier. I’m not a Graffer myself, but I have a few friends that are, and just have been an admirer of the Art since a youngster. It was kinda hard not being a little intrigued by the art form growing up in NYC, and loving Hip Hop culture. It was everywhere, on buildings, billboards, trains, etc. Well enough of me rambling.
